Healing and rejuvenation
What is Photo-LED Therapy and what conditions can be treated with Photo-LED Therapy?
Light emitting diode (led) therapy uses different wavelengths and colours of light to treat various skin conditions including mild acne, eczema and psoriasis. It is also useful in treatment of scars and may reduce the visibility of surgical or traumatic scars, acne scars and caesarian scars.
Photo-LED Therapy / IPL can be used alone, or in combination with other skin treatments such as Dermafrac, Dermapen, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facial laser and even after injections with fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.
Combining other treatments with Photo-LED therapy may accelerate the healing and rejuvenation process and lead to faster, longer lasting results.
I have sensitive skin, Is treatment with Photo-LED Therapy for me?
If you have sensitive skin, Photo-LED Therapy may be the perfect treatment for you! Please discuss your treatment goals and any skin sensitivities with our highly trained staff during your initial consultation, and we can tailor a treatment plan for you.
How long does treatment with Photo-LED Therapy take?
Photo-LED Therapy only takes five to ten minutes depending on the area and the skin condition treated.
What does treatment with Photo-LED Therapy feel like? Is there any downtime?
Photo-LED Therapy is a painless treatment with no downtime. Your skin may feel slightly warm and flushed for fifteen to twenty minutes, but this feeling will quickly go away. In fact, treatment with photo-led therapy may actually decrease the downtime from other skin treatments such as Dermafrac, Dermapen®, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facial laser and even after injections with fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. Combining other treatments with photo-led therapy may accelerate the healing and rejuvenation process and lead to faster, longer lasting results.
How long until I see results after treatment with a Photo-LED Therapy?
Everyone’s body reacts differently, and different skin conditions react differently, but the effect of treatment with Photo-LED Therapy is generally rapid and may have an accelerating effect on other skin treatments. Many patients feel an improvement after their first treatment session, and results will continue improve following each session. The team at Evolve Advanced Cosmetic Medicine will discuss your treatment goals and the other components of your personally tailored treatment plan and help you decide where Photo-LED Therapy fits in for you. You may undergo treatment with Photo-LED Therapy every two to three days if desired, and for some conditions up to ten treatments may be recommended.
