Can anti-wrinkle injections cause the brain to stop using a muscle, resulting in a permanent effect?

I’ve had countless doctors say that anti-wrinkle injections to the masseter will eventually become permanent, because the brain stops signalling one to use the treated muscle. If masseter muscles can be permanently affected by the injections, isn’t it likely upper cheek muscles around the eye can also be permanently affected? Why would the brain reprogram muscle use in the jaw and not in other parts of the face?

Are there any long-term nerve damage caused by fat-dissolving injections that did not resolve?

Surgical choices are not an option for me so fat dissolving injections seems like a good choice, however I am reading more about it and it seems like nerve damage can in fact happen (although I read they all have resolved). I have been told I am a good candidate but am worried about nerve damage. I don’t care about the temporary side effects, just permanent ones. Is this a safe product?

Did my face get burned by an IPL Photo-Facial?

Yesterday I had an IPL photo facial at a medial spa by a licensed technician. While my whole face is shocking, my forehead looks burnt rather than coffee ground. While other parts of my face have a coffee ground look with a touch of overzealous burn. I’ve never had it done before so I don’t know what to do, I just know that my whole face looks very bad. Will it get better?

Is doing chemical peels between IPL sessions a standard procedure?

The place I am going for photo facials suggests I do a chemical peel between IPL sessions. The Melbourne skin clinic I am going to suggests packages of chemical peels and photo facials. They started me with a microdermabrasion, then a photo facial, then 2 weeks later a chemical peel and 2 weeks after that another photo facial. I am not sure of the results I am seeing yet and wanted to know if this was a normal course to get best results?

Should all treated brown spots turn darker after a facial laser treatment?

I had a limelight laser treatment 4 days ago. I have many freckles and sun spots. I had a full-face treatment. What should my face be looking like at this point? I expected to see many “coffee ground spots”, but I’m not. There are about a dozen tiny dark spots, the size of a pinprick that are the coffee ground colour, but that’s it. Can I expect to see more happen or is this it?
