I want fat dissolving injections but have two large visible veins under the chin area
Is it safe to get it where the veins are?
Fat dissolving injections are injected into a “safe zone” under the chin, into a region known as the “preplatysmal fat”. This is to avoid the important structures that pass deep to the muscle in the neck, and especially to avoid injuring the nerve that controls the lips. Provided that this safe zone is identified, the injections have not been demonstrated to have permanent side-effects. A skilled injector will be able to easily avoid the veins in your neck, but to reassure yourself you should point them out before the injection! Bruising is a common side effect of any injection, and can always be covered with make-up until it resolves in 48-72 hours.
