Help! Can I fix these mouth lines with dermal fillers?
Are dermal fillers effective against lines around my mouth and also nose?
When it comes to nasolabial folds, my first choice is to actually fill the cheeks! This may sound strange but as we age we tend to lose volume in the mid-face (in the cheeks and under the eyes). Replacing this lost volume serves two purposes: firstly, it restores a more youthful, “rested” look under the eyes; and secondly it indirectly gives a “lift” to the nasolabial folds. If need be, more filler can later be added directly along the nasolabial folds. Of course, it’s hard to judge from just one picture, so I recommend an in-person assessment with an experienced injector who can see the “full three-dimensional” picture of your face and discuss your treatment goals with you.
